BVI FISHING
Here in the bountiful waters of the British Virgin Islands, with our quality rod and tackle rentals, you have a very good chance of catching your dinner! Fish while you sail! Drag a line from the back of your boat and catch surface feeding fish like mahi-mahi, kingfish, tuna and mackerel. Sushi for supper? Delicious!
NB - Know your fish! Be aware that many predatory reef fish in the BVI have Ciguatera poisoning which can give you nasty food poisoning. If you want to catch and eat a fish, avoid barracuda, snapper, jacks, triggerfish and parrotfish.

Please note: lost lures are charged at the rate of $10 per lost lure. Additionally, should a reel need to be re-spooled due to excessive lost line, a charge of $15 will be incurred.
Recreational Fishing Permits
If you are also renting gear from us, we can organize your permit for you at a cost of $64 per permit inclusive of government fees. Please let us know if you would like us to arrange this on your behalf.
IF WE HAVE APPLIED FOR AND RECEIVED YOUR PERMIT, THIS COST IS NON-REFUNDABLE.
ORGANISE YOUR OWN PERMIT:
- Government charge is $45 and it is valid for 1 month. Contact the BVI Government on +1 284 468 3701 and ask for Conservation & Fisheries to obtain your permit yourself.
Please note: Children under the age of 18 yrs are not required to have a permit, nor those who will only be fishing from shore.
The removal of any marine organism from BVI waters is illegal for non-BVIslanders without a recreational fishing permit.

NB: After each dive, please remove the regulator, blow the dust cap with air and secure onto reg. This is essential to maintain the integrity of the gear. Then rinse Reg and BCD with fresh water and store in area out of sun.
Please also do not drag any gear through sand or fill BCD pockets with sand. If you are not sure of the weight you need, it is generally 10% of your body weight and scale up.
